Cognitive impairment is common in motor vehicle accidents.  Our behavioral therapists will help achieve functional changes by reinforcing, strengthening or re-establishing previously learned patterns of behavior. 

Case Management

Our case managers will work closely with you and your healthcare providers to help you achieve your long and short term treatment goals. A case manager will coordinate with treatment providers to ensure that your treatment is appropriate, effective and consistent.

Speech Language Pathology

Our speech language pathologists are highly trained individuals who work with our clients to treat cognitive and physical disorders which affect their ability to communicate.  Some of the things they focus on are speech delays, language comprehension, fluency disorders and social communication skills

Internal Medicine

Our internists care for ambulatory clients and play a major role in providing education regarding treatment and prevention of further injury.

 

Family Counselling

This service is provided by our Clinical Psychologists and Registered Social Workers. The issues that need to be addressed in treatment are determined in the Psychological Assessment.

Geriatric Medicine

Geriatrics or geriatric medicine is a specialty that focuses on health care of elderly people.  It aims to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities in older adults.

 

Home Modifications

We work closely with several licensed professionals that will modify our clients’ homes to make them more accessible.  Examples of home modifications include: ramps, stair glides, bathroom modifications, grab bars and elevators.

Chiropractic

Our chiropractors use specialized, hands-on healing techniques which assist the spine, central nervous system and body to heal naturally.  Massage therapy treatment helps to improve physical functioning by treating the areas causing pain and relieving the effects of stress.

Psychotherapy

Our psychotherapists work with our clients to increase well-being and mental health by resolving maladaptive behaviors, thoughts and emotions.  Through one-to-one sessions different cognitive techniques are used to address our clients’ needs.

Rehabilitation Support Worker

Develop and implement rehabilitation support plans that are developed and implemented in collaboration with clients and regulated health professionals. Provide services in the home, community, social and work settings.

 

Social Work Service

Assisting a patient to acknowledge a new diagnosis and intervention plan. Helping a patient adapt to changes in lifestyle and functioning due to physical injury or disability. Providing counselling support to a patient struggling to reintegrate back to employment, community, or regular activity after physical rehabilitation.

Physiatry

Our physiatrists, or rehabilitation physicians, are nerve, muscle, and bone experts who treat injuries that affect how you move. Rehabilitation physicians are medical doctors who have completed training in the medical specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R). 

 

Rheumatology

Our rheumatologists deal with musculoskeletal disease and systemic autoimmune conditions commonly referred to as rheumatic diseases. These diseases can affect the joints, muscles and bones causing pain, swelling, stiffness and deformity.

Naturopathy

Naturopathic doctors focus on allowing the body to heal itself while using methods and medicines that minimize the risk of harmful side effects.  Individualized treatment is the focus of naturopathic care that includes the consideration of the physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental and social factors therefore regarding the person as a whole.

 

Orthopaedic Medicine

Our orthopaedic surgeon assesses and treats our clients' conditions involving the musculoskeletal system including, but not limited to, bone fractures. Our orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma resulting from an accident.
